Frequently asked questions

How do I book my charter holidays?

Now is a good time to start arranging your charter holidays. You can refer to our fleet if you know what boat you are looking for.

In order to book your holidays with Sailways S.A. you can contact with us your preferred specifications. Having done that, you will receive a detailed offer with the charter availabilities.

When you inform us which specific boat from our offer interests you, an option will be placed on the yacht for a few days in order to secure the availability to give you time to think of all the details for your decision. As soon as you send us a written confirmation, we will prepare a Booking Confirmation with all the information including the payment information.

From the moment when the Advanced Payment has been received (50% of the full payment), your booking is secured in our system.

What should I take with me when I go on a charter holiday?

Packing for a Charter Holiday does not require lots of effort, our main advice is that you do not forget your passport, license if available or other documentation, credit/ debit cards and clothing items. Other than that, you will also need:

Sunscreen with very high SPF, hat, sunglasses, bathing suit, slip flops and non-marking boat shoes (if you have), one or two pairs of comfortable shoes, beach towel (shower towels are provided), personal care products, insect repellent, anti-histamine (in case of insect bites/stings), Jelly Fish After Sting Relief (better safe than sorry – although jelly fish are not so common). Your regular medication (if any). Camera & charger (or waterproof camera, action camera etc.), 12 volts (car charger) for charging devices on board and power bank, if necessary, although we would recommend minimum use of electronic devices. AUX cable – if you want to connect an electronic device for music.

What does the Service Pack include?

The Service Pack includes: End Cleaning, a set of bed linen and towel for each person.

What time is the check in?

According to the contract the embarkation time starts at 17:00h.

In case you would like to check in earlier we offer a Fast Track Package (by 14:00h) which is upon request and its own fee.

Do I need a skipper?

All of our yachts can be offered with a skipper. There is for people who do not have the qualification to handle a bareboat.

Security deposit?

The security deposit is payable at base, prior to departure, in cash or with credit card (VISA or MasterCard) by the Charterer. It is required before embarkation and will cover any damage or loss of the yacht and her equipment during the cruise. Prices of the security deposit vary on the type of boat that will be chartered.
